The new Cadillac XT5 for 2023 presents the world with a handsome face while giving you and your family plenty of room for passengers and cargo. The new XT5 comes with a transversely-mounted turbocharged four-cylinder engine or a naturally aspirated V6 and your choice of either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The cabin is quiet and cargo space is one of the most competitive in the class. Here's a preview of what you will experience when you drive the new Cadillac XT5 at Uebelhor and Sons Cadillac Vincennes in Vincennes IN.

What's new for 2023?

Last year's version of the Cadillac XT5 was so well-refined and so well-received that the 2023 model comes with only minor changes. Of the eight available paint colors, three are new this year. The Premium Luxury and Sport trims now come with embedded navigation along with a Bose Performance Series stereo system with the audio power of 14 speakers.

Trim levels

The new Cadillac XT5 gives buyers in Princeton and Terre Haute, IN just three trims choose from:

  • Luxury
  • Premium Luxury
  • Sport

The Luxury trim is a great place to start with a more affordable price. At the Premium Luxury level, you'll get genuine leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, wireless device charging and a hands-free liftgate. The V6 engine is an available option and all-wheel drive is also available. If you choose the top level Sport model, all-wheel drive comes standard and so does the 310-horsepower V6 engine.

Engines and performance

The standard engine in the new Cadillac XT5 is a turbocharged four-cylinder power plant that generates 235 horsepower while the available V6 engine is good for 310 horsepower. Industry reviewers conclude that the XT5’s performance stacks up well against competitors like the Volvo XC60. In day-to-day operation, you'll find the cabin is well-insulated from the sound of the engine. If you select the bigger V6 engine with all-wheel drive, you'll get a zero-to-60-mph time of 6.4 seconds.

Fuel economy

When you're running with the standard turbocharged four-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive, you'll get an EPA-estimated 22 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on highways around Washington and Robinson IN. If you move up to the V6 engine, your mileage will be 19 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway. Adding the optional all-wheel drive will reduce those estimates slightly but we believe it's worth the extra margin of safety when you’re driving in Indiana’s sometimes-challenging weather.

Interior comfort and cargo

The cabin of the new Cadillac XT5 is upscale and inviting. The 2023 Cadillac XT5 particularly excels when it comes to inside practicality, with cargo space that's above-average, an abundance of storage bins for smaller items and a rear seat that's easy to fold. The new XT5 gives you 30 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 63 cubic feet when those seats are folded down. This luxury mid-size SUV can hold 10 carry-on suitcases with the rear seat in place and an amazing 24 carry-ons with the back seat folded.

Infotainment technology

An 8-inch touch screen comes standard and you can upgrade to wireless device charging and a premium stereo system with 14 speakers. Other available upgrades include push-button start and a panoramic sunroof.

Safety technology

The new Cadillac XT5 has a long list of standard driver-assistance features including a rear view camera, a forward collision warning system and forward automatic emergency braking. Test drive the new 2023 Cadillac XT5 at Uebelhor and Sons Cadillac Vincennes in Vincennes IN.
