    • Huge improvement over the last generation 3 series

This is my 3rd BMW; I had a 2007 E90 generation and a 2015 F30 generation car. The 2007 was an amazing car with excellent handling and power. The 2015, however, was a huge disappointment with its lethargic turbo engine, imprecise and light steering, and a bouncy suspension that felt more like a Lexus ES. Fortunately, the 2019 G20 BMW 3 series feels a lot more like the 2007 than the 2015. The standard suspension feels taut, but not too firm. The 330i's engine is more refined, even though it's still a turbo 4-cylinder. The power delivery feels more consistent with no perceivable lag, just like a non-turbo 6-cylinder engine of decades past. The steering is still a bit too light for my taste, but is definitely more precise and transmits decent road feel. Also, the car does feel bigger than my old 2007 and perhaps not as "tossable" in curves. But for a bigger car, it's still a competent sports sedan. Finally, I love the interior design, quality and materials of the 2019. Absolutely improved over the past BMWs and makes the car feel luxurious now and worth the price point. The exterior design, on the other hand, is perhaps a downside. But that’s very subjective. The tech is amazing too. iDrive is a huge improvement in the 2019, with your choice of both touchscreen or knob interfaces. The larger touchscreen is very handy when used with Apple CarPlay, while the knob can also come in handy to zoom a map while driving. The digital gauges does take a bit getting used to, and I do hope BMW will implement an ability to change the gauge design from the odd shape it is now to more traditional circular gauges. The only big complaint I have with this car is the driving aid tools, which can be a bit intrusive. Lane keep assist in particular has been extremely annoying and inaccurate. I had to turn Lane Keep Assist off.

An all around awesome vehicle. This car gas everything imaginable. The gas mileage they estimate is spot on. Acceleration is A+. It has more cameras than all the pro photographers at a football game. This is my 3rd BMW and I like this car better than the 335i I owned in 2011.

I owned a mechanic shop for 6yrs (but worked on cars my entire life...and I'm 48yrs old). I've owned many cars/SUVs/motorcycles and a Jeep Wrangler (supercharged). This BMW is one of the funnest cars I've owned. I also have a 2015 Audi A6 (S Line) and this is right up there with it, as far as enjoyment goes. It's very quiet, but needs a little more rumble. The turbo whistles just perfectly thru the waste gate, as this thing grabs and goes! Two hands on the steering wheel, as it will pull you like a horse ready to go! The trunk is rather small (one large suitcase, an overhead-bin sized suitcase and a dufflebag would fit back there comfortably.) The fact that the radio controls are operate by waving your hands in front of it can be a pain if you're a person that speaks with your hands. You'll switch songs, turn the volume up or down, and do all kinds of things if your hands are over the center console area. I'm sure I could find a way to deactivate the hands-controls, but I'm just not that bothered...sometimes. LOL! When it's a good song, it does make me go, "....maaaaan!" But everywhere I go - even if it's just parked - people stop and go, "...that's a really nice car! WOW!". It's the Sunset Orange with the M package and factory BMW black wheels, so it's really clean! The dark tint really makes the Sunset Orange pop. The double exhaust coming out of the back really gives it a sportscar appeal instead of a rental car look. I've seen some of the 3-series from the rear and they look like rental cars. This one? They made sure to make the taillights, rear bumper accents, and exhaust pull that rental car feeling out of it and it really sits like a sportscar from behind. The interior glow lights are WOOOOOOOOO! Always makes people go, "....daaaang! They have LEDs in the doors and under the seats!" hahaha! I do have fun with this car, as you can probably tell by reading this. I paid a good price for it, but hey, YOU CANT TAKE IT WITH YOU! Enoy it while you're alive and leave it for your kids! They'll appreciate you for leaving THIS vehicle behind! It's definitely something worth holding onto for a few generations! If I could get the M4 in the same color, I still wouldn't sell the 330i. This is just something special.
